I can t type a capital P anymore without Media Player launching. I did not link it and have no idea how it happened but it is a real pain in the butt. How do I stop this from happening.

Everytime I try and type a capital p shift p Windows Media Player is loading and coming to the forefront. I did not link the keys but I d like to stop it from happening. I am runnung Vista.

Ready for this. Your alt key is probably stuck - or possibly the O.S. thinks it is held down for some reason. In any case try pressing and releasing the alt, shift and cntrl keys a few times and see if that does it. It did for me. The keyboard shortcut to access Windows Media Player is Shift-Alt-P so it stands to reason that the alt key may be in a held state. Then when pressing the P it s taken as a shift-alt-P - cheers
